Today Jeremy and I finished servicing the remaining four winches on the boat. I also checked the winch that I serviced last year. It was in good condition with plenty of grease in all the bearings and moving parts. A couple of the other winches had dry bearings and really needed to be cleaned and greased. When we purchased the yacht we paid for all the winches to be serviced. I suspect that the two winches that had very dry bearings were not done. There is nothing like doing it yourself so that you know that is it done.
